ClickTrek

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 24, 2026

ClickTrek is designed as a privacy-first Chrome extension. Workflow screenshots, page content, click coordinates, generated step descriptions, labels, redaction regions, and exported PNG, zip, or PDF files are processed locally in the browser and are not uploaded to the ClickTrek payment or licensing service.

Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how ClickTrek handles information in the Chrome extension and on the hosted ClickTrek Pro checkout, activation, recovery, and legal pages. ClickTrek does not require an account login.

Information processed locally in the extension

To provide workflow capture and export, ClickTrek may process the following information on your device:

This workflow data stays local to the extension. If information is visible on a page you capture, it may appear in a final page image. Review every page before saving, sending, publishing, or using them in customer or internal documentation.

Information processed by hosted Pro services

If you use ClickTrek Pro checkout, activation, entitlement refresh, activation recovery, or device-seat release, ClickTrek and its service providers may process:

Stripe processes payment details on Stripe-hosted checkout pages. ClickTrek does not collect or store full card numbers in the extension or hosted ClickTrek pages.

Purposes of processing

What ClickTrek does not do

Service providers

ClickTrek uses service providers only as needed to operate the hosted Pro flow:

Retention

Single-page recording data is temporary and is cleared when that session ends, its page is unloaded, or its tab is closed. Multi-page sessions—including page captures, click coordinates, generated step descriptions, labels, redaction regions, page order, and review settings—are stored only in the extension's local IndexedDB so they survive navigation and browser restarts. Multi-page sessions remain available for re-review after export until you explicitly discard them or ClickTrek's browser/extension startup cleanup finds they have been inactive for more than 14 days; exporting alone does not delete a session. Downloaded PNG, zip, and PDF files remain under your control on your device. Local Pro activation data remains in Chrome storage until you deactivate Pro on that device or remove extension data.

Hosted checkout, entitlement, activation, and device-seat records may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for activation recovery, support, fraud prevention, security, accounting, tax, chargeback handling, legal compliance, and enforcement of the license.

Security

ClickTrek limits hosted data to the paid activation flow, uses Stripe-hosted checkout for payment information, signs entitlement tokens, and stores only the records needed to operate Pro access. Keep activation codes private. No internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices and rights

To make a privacy request, contact the address below and include enough information for ClickTrek to identify the relevant checkout, activation, or support record.

Children

ClickTrek is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children under 13 or the minimum age required by applicable law.

International processing

ClickTrek and its providers may process hosted service information in countries where they operate. If privacy laws in your location grant additional rights, ClickTrek will handle requests as required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

ClickTrek may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The "Last updated" date shows when the current version took effect.
